"Act - React - Make an Impact" is a collaborative Erasmus+-project connecting students from Ireland (Dublin), France (Morlaix), Germany (Wildeshausen), and Greece (Patras). The project aims to promote responsible and sustainable behavior among students by encouraging them to reflect on and engage with key aspects of their everyday environment. These include choices concerning food, clothes, the sports they play, music, art or how they use water, technology, electricity, and energy. Through collaborative activities, students are motivated to act thoughtfully, respond creatively, and contribute positively to their communities and beyond, thus turning awareness into action and creativity into impact. Students will engage in a variety of activities such as creative workshops, poster and video production, poetry writing, theatre scenes, and musical projects. They will also participate in virtual field trips, sustainable sports activities, and an e-waste recycling programme to deepen their understanding of sustainability.

Through hands-on collaboration, students will develop environmental awareness, digital skills, creativity, and intercultural communication. The project aims to foster active citizenship and inspire young people to take meaningful action toward a greener, more sustainable future at both local and international levels.

By the end of the project, students and teachers will have significantly deepened their understanding of responsible consumption and sustainable living. This awareness will be demonstrated through a variety of creative outputs, including posters, poems, short videos, songs, and theatre scenes, all designed to promote environmental responsibility in an engaging and accessible way. These products will be shared publicly through a common TwinSpace platform, which will serve as a digital exhibition of student work. Furthermore, the results of the project will be shared with a wider audience through a variety of channels. Each school will create and maintain a project website, post updates and results on social media platforms, and hold local events such as exhibitions, presentations, and workshops to share the project’s outcomes with students, teachers, and the local community. Partner schools will also present the project at educational conferences and engage with other schools to promote the sustainable practices learned throughout the project. In addition to creative work, students will improve key competences such as digital literacy—through the use of collaborative tools and media production—communication skills in English and other project languages, and teamwork across cultural and national boundaries. Their ability to work independently and in international teams will also grow through regular exchanges, both virtual and in person. The project will go beyond individual learning outcomes by also trying to make an impact at the school level. Each participating school will organize at least one project activity, involving the school community, parents and – ideally – also local stakeholders. These events aim to promote responsible habits within the wider school community and to ensure that the project's messages have a lasting, practical impact. Finally, the experience of long-term international cooperation will strengthen students’ motivation to engage in future civic initiatives and European programmes. The project will leave behind a strong network of partner schools and an engaged group of young people equipped to act as responsible citizens committed to sustainability well beyond the project's conclusion.
